I embroidered my son’s footprints on the mouse pad, I took my inspiration from the ground mat,There are always two footprints on it.

My husband liked it, not because of my good job, but his son’s footprints on it.

The Handmade mouse pad’s Edge is with a pale green, like standing on the grass ,I feel very comfortable.

How To Make A Handmade Mouse Pad

Things You Need:

  • Sheet of purple craft foam
  • Purple, gray and black felt
  • Waxed paper (optional)
  • 9 by 12 inch piece of gray craft foam
  • Tacky glue
  • Yarn or ribbon

1. Cut the corners off of the ends of gray craft foam sheet to form into an oval shape.

2. Cut a rounded triangular shape out of the purple foam about a third of the size of the gray foam.

3. Glue the purple foam triangle on top of the gray foam as the mouse head.

4. Glue yarn to the end of the underside of the gray foam to form tail.

5. Cut 2 semi-circles out of gray felt for ears. Glue them just under the top edge of the purple face to form ears.

6. Glue 3 pieces of yarn as whiskers on each side of the pointy end of face and secure them with a small black felt circle to create the nose at the end of your mouse.

7.Glue 2 small black circles on for eyes.

Tips

*When done, cover your “mouse” with a piece of wax paper and set a large heavy book on top for about 2 hours. This will help the glue to create a strong bond.

*Makes a cute gift for new office employee, or student going off to college.

*Change felt and foam colors to represent favorite college or school team.

* You may substitute ribbon for yarn.
