Don’t let your beads and findings roll away – use a bead mat to keep everything exactly where you want it. Our double sided bead mat is made of a durable foam material. It is wrinkle-free and washable. It will cushion your hands while stringing beads and keep small items from rolling away. Sold individually – color will be white grey or beige. If you have a color preference, please specify.
A beading mat is a piece of fabric that is used to hold your beads while you work and prevents them from rolling off your table or lap.
Bead mats are made out of fabric. Some of them are made from a soft, velvety fabric called Vellux. There are also a number of high-quality work pads available that are made from a lightweight piece of wood that has been padded and covered in fabric. You can create an “emergency” bead mat out of a clean tea-towel or dish towel.
Beading mats are usually square or rectangular in shape. They can range in size from the very small (about 4” square) to large professional work pads that are 24” square.
To use your beading mat, lay it on a stable, hard surface such as a book or table, arrange your beads on it, and start beading.

There are two Rulers printed onto the Mat to aid in accurate measuring. One is “inches” while the other is “metric” – a great way to make accurate measurements for customers across the globe regardless of which measurement system they use!

The ruler mat can also aid you in your item photography – customers can be absolutely certain of the size of your creation when they see a photograph on top of the ‘Ruled Beading Mat’.

The Mat can be portable and folds flat or rolls up for easy storage.

All four sides of the Mat are finished by a ribbon border which has been sewn on. Not only does this give the Mat a lovely finished look, but also gives added protection from round items rolling off the sides.
Done Working? Just roll the mat up (perhaps with your tools inside) and tie closed with the 12″ double ribbon tie-back that has been sewn on.
